Our Centre caters for children from the ages of six weeks up to five years.

We have three rooms that cater for our different age groups:

The Possum Room: 0 – 2 year age group

The Joey Room: 2 – 3 year age group

The Kangaroo Room: 4 – 5 year age group

The Possum room is our baby room. The room has separate sleeping facilities connected to the main play area that can be viewed clearly at all times. With have three staff in the room looking after twelve babies. All staff working in the Possum room have recognised qualifications in childcare.

The Joey room has sixteen children with two staff, whilst the Kangaroo room has thirty children with four staff.

All our staff in the Joey and Kangaroo rooms have formal or are working towards obtaining further qualifications in childcare.

We welcome parental and community input into the Centre. We ask all parents and caregivers to share your family and children’s interests with us, so we can include them into your child’s experiences during their time at Blue Gum.

We embrace the National Quality Framework, the National Quality Standards and The Early Years Learning Framework.

We have an Open Door Policy where visitors are welcomed and valued. Visitors input into our Centre is fundamental in ensuring that recognising the contributions of families and the community are an asset to providing and building a safe and secure environment, that enhances learning for all.
